Actually I copied the xlogin.htm and renamed the copy login.htm. Wanted to make sure I was accurate in the description of what I did :)
Glad that worked for you. Your original file 'login.htm' may have been missing, out of place or corrupt. The developer has been notified by @bp2008 that BI version 4.7.3.1 is not extracting some files properly / to the correct folder so he can fix and provide an update.

FYI, the instructions below also would have put a new 'login.htm' into your 'www' folder.
____________________________

  • Close Blue Iris
  • Go ==>> here
  • Download and extract UI3-9.zip
  • Open the extracted folder
  • Copy & paste its contents to BI's 'www' folder ( C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 4\www )
  • Open Blue Iris
  • Try it again: http://yourBIserverIP:port/ui3.htm

Interesting - thanks. Are the files in UI3-9.zip the same version as is what is included with 4.7.3.1?

To my knowledge, yes......BI v 4.7.3.1 apparently placed some files wrongly, the developer has been advised so a new BI update will correct that issue.

Because the author/developer of UI3 is working directly with Ken, the developer of Blue Iris, I'm confident this will be resolved soon and the planets in our galaxy will all come back into alignment! :p

Yes, BI 4.7.3.1 includes UI3 version 9, exactly the same files as in the zip from github, they just got extracted to the wrong place and because the update process also renames the old login.htm to xlogin.htm, people end up with no login page.

Absolutely love the new UI... Fantastic work guys... I was wondering... i see if I right click on the live view page and copy image address i can then paste that url in a new tab to go directly to "full screen overview live view" without the menu's etc.. I want to try and use this url as a direct link to embed an iframe in another application. Will this url always remain the same or does it change per session?

Secondly... is there any hope to perhaps have a portrait view option / configuration? I am working on a family dashboard / calendar with a vertical monitor. If i could switch tabs to display a vertical version of ui3 that would be great!

I've tried searching, and I can't find anything (I apologize if it's been addressed). However, since the addition of UI3, all the /admin urls redirect to the UI3 login page, regardless if they're being passed credentials. Many of these (that I'm utilizing) are scripted from home automation solutions.

Is there something that changed that I'm missing? Thanks!

Have you tried to uninstall ui3 and re-install? It's creator, @bp2008 tells how here:

BI 4.7.3.1 installed UI3 wrong. To work around it and clean up after the mess it left, delete the entire UI3 folder, download the latest UI3 release from the github page, and extract it to "www", overwriting everything as necessary. That is all. It should not even be necessary to clear a browser cache, but as we all know, what should be and what is are two different things.

Here is the github link: bp2008/ui3

That is just a snapshot (not video) but anyway if you want to embed it somewhere you should remove the session argument from the URL and make sure Blue Iris is configured to allow anonymous access to anyone who is going to connect to it.

Sure, you can configure a new camera group specifically for portrait view and tweak its frame size however you like here:

Not that I know of. You probably changed the authentication method (maybe this happened automatically? I don't know). You need to disable the secure authentication requirement in BI's web server settings in order to pass credentials in a URL.

Triggered cameras are not meant to go fullscreen. A group cycle however can be configured to prioritize cameras that are sensing motion (see the screenshot I posted just above in answer to someone else's question). So that behavior you described is as designed.

Sounds playing when a camera is triggered will be an option in the next UI3 release, maybe in a week's time give or take. I need to wait for the next Blue Iris patch before I can finish implementing and testing that feature in UI3, then I send the UI3 update to Ken, and Ken includes it in the next Blue Iris patch after he gets the update from me.

FYI the sound on trigger will not be enabled by default. You'll have to go into the UI Settings panel to choose a sound file to play (after the next UI3 update).

Not entirely. Web pages aren't allowed to change fullscreen mode except in direct response to user input, and loading the page doesn't count as user input.

There is a URL parameter you can include in the URL to start with side and top bars hidden, but that probably is not what you want. UI3 Help

Thanks Tony, I'll give that a go. I didn't install it manually. It installed through the BI update so I was expectant for integration to work smoothly. I'll report back if that doesn't clear things up

I have a touch display on my wall. There are 10 cameras displayed in small. When moving I have to see the tigger camera big. Only red border not helping mee :( . You can not addl this function? Tiggered Cam fullscreen ?
Or a cycle overview with click to fullscreen cam.
With Blueiris software it works fine.

Sorry! UI3 does not even know what is showing at any moment when displaying a camera cycle. Switching streams takes time and UI3 only periodically updates its camera list so if I made it automatically fullscreen triggered cameras, it would usually be very late.

I am not sure what you are asking for. Maybe you want to turn off the "Full Screen: Video Only" option in UI Settings under the Extra section.

I'm sorry about the installation issues. The "$ is not defined" error will happen on the login page if the "loginScripts.js" file is unable to be loaded from the "applet" subdirectory. Ken also emailed me directly about this; apparently it is happening to a lot of people. Looks like BI 4.7.3.1 isn't installing UI3 correctly, and I'd expect to see it solved with the next BI patch, maybe tomorrow.

Thanks @TonyR for posting the workaround instructions :)

Just click the "Server status" text and it will shrink to take up much less space.
I have the 4.7.3.1 software but still get the Beta message on bottom right corner. How do I make it go away? Thanks
