For those of you who use Classic Shell to recapture your Win7 Start Menu experience in your Win8/Win10 installation...

Classic Shell is no longer supported by the developer who has written that Classic Shell may soon become non-functional as future Windows updates are installed on your machine. In its place I have been using "StartIsBack" which functions very well IMO.

StartIsBack: real start menu for Windows 8 and Windows 10

StartIsBack has a free trial and has a cost of $2.99 for 1 PC, $4.99 for 2 PCs, or $9.99 for 5 PCs.

IMO StartIsBack is an good alternative to Classic Shell and -- while it may blow up and kill your family when we finally go to war with Russia -- it seems to work well presently.

I have been using Stardock Start 10 for quite a while .
Start10 : Software from Stardock
It has a free trial and is $4.99
I was a big fan of Start8 back in the Win8 days. It produced a perfect replica of the Win7 start menu without extra junk and it could turn off hot-corners while the desktop was active. It was also very stable, unlike other programs I tried.
