For the second time this year a mountain lion was spotted on our surveillance cameras. This mountain lion was seen running towards our front yard to avoid being hit by a car this morning at 2:28 AM. The vehicle can be seen slowing down so I think the driver may have seen it. You can hear the mountain lion jumping into the bushes in our front yard to avoid the car. About 18 seconds after the vehicle passes by you can see the mountain lion's eyes look toward the front of our house in the last 2 camera angles shown in this video.

yikes.gif Live and let live for certain, but if that animal was seen loose in my neighborhood I'd be carrying my Remington 870P every time I put the garbage out at night.

I heard that.
I carry my 9mm when I put my garbage out Tuesday mornings ever since about 5 years ago when a coyote went by me chasing a spotted fawn, I'm in my PJ's and had nothing in my hands but a garbage can.

A cat that size could really put the hurt on you, for sure. Just trying to wrestle an uncooperative 10 pound, 17-year-old kitty into a carrier for a trip to the vets can be surprisingly difficult. Ramp that up to 80 to 120 lbs, and you'd have your hands full, no doubt! I wouldn't want to tangle with a cat that size bare handed.

It's amazing the strength that cats have, and they carry knives.
