4.8.4 - November 15, 2018

  • When using the microphone to "talk" on a dependent camera, this is now automatically routed to the parent camera.

  • With a new option on the PTZ tab in camera properties, motion delay may be applied to all cameras in the camera's groups when calling a preset.

  • The profile selection tool found on several windows will now scale properly with increased font size. The Status/Storage page has also been reworked for larger fonts. Soon the entire UI will scale properly for 4K and other large displays.

  • You may now override the profile on a per-camera basis using the camera settings page in the mobile app. The necessary version 1.63 has been submitted to Apple for approval, and the Android app will be updated soon thereafter. This provides a way to temporary change the behavior of a specific camera--for example if the kids are playing in the driveway or a camera is continuously triggering due to rain etc.

  • On Options/Profiles you may now specify that a profile is temporary until a camera is triggered. When overriding the global profile, any camera trigger will reset the temporary profile to the currently scheduled profile. When overriding the profile only on a specific camera, the camera profile will reset when that camera is triggered. This provides a way to set the system or a specific camera to alert you just once in an ad-hoc fashion--for example if you are waiting for an event like package delivery or someone to arrive home.

Starting from 4.8.3.0 and also in this version:
- trigger now option does not send email
- alert mail with mp4 video attached does not work. Blu iris creates the mp4 file in temporary directory but does not attache it in the mail and does not delete it

You need to email support. No one else is reporting this issue here.

Hi, are you able to tell me what the grey squares with the green number represent on the IOS version? These have appeared since updating today and are all showing number 1 on each camera view on my IOS. Here's what I see now:

I just updated to this version and tried the "talk" button on the android app. For the 1st time, I hear a brief vocal coming from the camera when I click on the mic button. (I have an amplifier connected to the camera and an external speaker) About 1/2 a second worth of audio then it went quiet. After that nada.

It was never working before. I had to use IPCamTalk to go straight to the camera but then I gave up on that cause I didn't want to open the camera ports to the public.

I think you meant tinycam. The blue iris app requires a solid connection for the audio to work acceptably. The manufactures apps are generally better. You could email support so he works on it. To test if its the mobile app or a wrong setting, you can add this wav file to the sounds folder (C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 4\Sounds\) and set up an alert to play though the camera speaker in the alert tab. This will send the audio from the blue iris pc, bypassing the mobile app. Dropbox - HA.wav

So I did the test alert to send it to the camera but it's still paying on my PC, no sound coming from the camera speaker.

At the same time, I went to the camera web portal and tried to enable 2 way audio but it failed. The camera is a DS-2CD2542FWD-IS

in the video configuration, try using hivision 2cd or hikvision rtsp, it wont work with onvif/find inspect. also post the camera web interface video settings and blue iris camera properties audio tab in blue iris as well as blue iris options audio

yeah, ignore that check box, I wasn't finish. Was looking through the selection. I've actually went down the list one by one and non seems to work :(

cool. looking forward for some good news, been dying for this. Installing a GBF Intercom camera doorbell gate control this week and the app works pretty good for video/two way audio during my test.

Being able to speak or scream at someone at the door is invaluable.
