@EMPIRETECANDY Looking forward to trying this out, I know not a lot is mentioned in the PDF but my SD6CE225U-HNI has an awful time when tracking (not to be confused with the Intelligence/Auto Track function) in an IVS intrusion zone, fingers crossed this might improve that ;)

Now it's getting confusing. How is this that much different than the firmaware (20181226) that was released for the 59225, that also works on the PTZ1A225U? With a release date of 20190119, it is too close to the problematic firmware for the 5231 that has since been removed from this site.

Who is willing, and who has loaded this firmware already? One function not in the 59225 firmware (20181226) that I would really want is the Day/Night Profile, and the SD Card fix.

And the wait begins...

@EMPIRETECANDY quick question on this. You mention 20190326 in the title yet the FW file you posted ends in 190119 (19th January 2019), is this the latest file or do you have a 03/26 FW you can post ? Thanks

Yes, this one is the latest new one.
Andy, thanks. Any word on when a 03/26 FW or later will be released for this one ? Just looking at the other FW timestamps on other Dahua products they do seem to follow a time specific release schedule so was wondering if there is an expected newer release for the PTZ's or not ? Thanks again

@weigle2 I updated my SD6CE225U-HNI this morning, no issues in the update process. Will report back on any issues I see. One extra addition I did see (welcome addition) is that in the IVS menu now when looking at your presets it clearly calls out the preset number next to the description. Previously in the IVS menu this was description only, makes it easier to reference consistently through the menus.

No Day/Night profile in this release.

Why is it the more expensive Dahua cameras lag behind the cheaper models in firmware features? Not liking the no Day/Night profile in the PTZ firmware update at all. Just ranting, but the 5231/4231EM beat my PTZ1A225U by a mile when it comes to this.
ptz is much more complex than the normal fix camera, i think they will update very soon. Maybe dahua PTZ team are lazy guys. I will tell them for this.

The CPU platform is very different across the two as well - these PTZ cameras with the firmware in this thread use the HiSilicon HI3516A CPU and the 5231s as an example are Ambarella S3LM.

Both are ARM based but it could be as simple as the Ambarella SDK is easier to use and some things are trickier to get working on the PTZ for whatever reason.

So far things have been stable with no packet loss observed on either camera with the new firmware.

The 59225 has been rock solid here since I re-cabled it, I've noticed a strange problem with the PTZ1A225U-IRA-N that has happened twice now.

I have both the PTZ cameras set to reboot once daily otherwise they sometimes behave randomly.

On two occasions now the PTZ1A225U-IRA-N has rebooted and come up showing a temperature of 90c (I have it timestamped) and in black and white mode. a software reboot via the web interface doesn't fix the problem.

It stays in B&W mode and with a 90c temperature reading until I toggle power to the switch port after which it comes up usually higher than ambient temperature (currently 25c displayed vs 18c ambient) and in colour.

Not sure if anyone else has ever seen this but the power being pulled fixes it everytime.

No that problem was with this latest firmware - I just checked the Dahua site and they're still listing 181205 which is older than the firmware on this thread.

It's only happened twice and only on the PTZ1A225U-IRA-N - I haven't seen this happen on the 59225 here.

Oh ok. Do you think it's worth upgrading ? Pros/cons ?

There's always a risk when updating the PTZ MCU firmware and a couple of people on here have had problems during an update for some reason

If it's working for you as is then the best advice is leave it alone unless you're specifically affected by a bug in the firmware you're on.

I use microSD cards in all my cams so there have been improvements in microSD compatibility over the last releases.

Why this firmware is not showing up on Dahua site? I believe, that Andy posted an updated firmware for this camera, and that one is not showing up either on Dahua site.
