Getting the hang of it

Does anyone know what size allen wrench came with the hikvision ds-2cd2732f-is? I need to move or replace mine and need to get it apart. I was able to remove it from its temporary location (over 6 years is temporary, right?), need to get the cover off to remount it properly.

Thanks

Do the screws have little protrusions in the center to prevent standard wrenches from working? If not, I'd suggest picking up a cheap set of allen wrenches. They come in handy.

If you have a screwdriver bit set you might also have some compatible tips in there.

Or pick up this set of 3 (SAE, Metric & Torx) at Harbor Freight for $7.

SAE: 5/64 in., 3/32 in., 7/64 in., 1/8 in., 9/64 in., 5/32 in., 3/16 in., 7/32 in., 1/4 in.;
Metric: 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm;
Star Bit (Torx): T-9, T-10, T-15, T-20, T-25, T-27, T-30, T-40

I like that @TonyR. Though I might prefer the set I got which attach to a keychain so it is easy to remove individual wrenches.

Amzon.com has it for $79 - https://amzn.to/2IVGMrN

LOL so overpriced. The main useful parts of that kit were:

* The allen wrenches
* The small metal phillips and flathead screwdrivers
* The static discharge wrist strap (before I broke it)
* The soldering iron (it burned itself out in 10 minutes)
* Pliers, wire cutters

Occasionally the wire stripper came in handy, but I've since gotten a better one. Make no mistake, everything in that kit is cheap and low quality, but it was a nice way of filling-out my tool collection early on.

It could require security torx or security hex then (that is the kind with a hole in the center of the bit).

A T20 tamper resistant torx did the job :)

I only had to look under my desk to find it, wasted several hours looking for the original box.
