Yeah it's the Dahua SD59230U-HNI.Forget the gophers, the quality of the video is really good! What kind of camera? Is it a PTZ?
Yeah I used this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWRSZQ4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 But you have to buy adapters and all of that to get it to work.Nice, do you use an external MIC?
Sure this is what you need https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYV4AWL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You also need a powered AC adapter for the microphone https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VRL632/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And possibly an RCA extension cable and possibly an extension cable for the power although it has a six-foot cable with the power by itself.I've always wanted to hook up a microphone to my PTZ. Can you send me links adapters as well, here is my PTZ. Its an Amcrest (Dahua OEM) and it has the MIC connection, see picture.

Mic volume might be a tad too high. High pitch birds are giving feedbackI got this on camera this morning and thought it was cute.
What are your settings under audio? It's currently set at 47/100 any suggestions?
Try changing the sampling frequency down to 16000 and turn mic volume to 50.. I just mess with it til it sounds right to be. Play with itView attachment 44672
I bumped it down to 30/100.
So running it at 48,000 doesn't really improve things that much?Try changing the sampling frequency down to 16000 and turn mic volume to 50.. I just mess with it til it sounds right to be. Play with it
