Hello,

Still familiarizing myself with BI5 but one thing i'm noticing is that my time line has a lot of gaps, for upwards of 3 hours. During this time, there are no recordings. Really odd to me and i have read up on the combine or cut feature and i'm fine with how it's suppose to work...but i would expect that after a combine/cut, the next new video would start right away. In certain instances there are hour long gaps until the next video begins...

However, as i'm writing this i think i know why and would now just like confirmation. I do not have continuous recording so what i'm assuming is that the gaps come from combine or cut on the current video , then the next video won't start/be created until there is an actual alert. This makes sense to me. Ironically, i'm just thinking of this now as i type this up.

So i think i answered my own question :lmao:, but a confirmation would be nice.
Eventually i'll switch to continuous recording once i'm done setting up all my cameras and reading through the BI help docs.

First I had this issue with 1 cam (cam 1) only. I changed the record video settings from "continious" to "when triggered" and then reverted the settings back to continious. Also at the advise of BlueIris Support, I changed the Blueiris service to use my account instead of localsystem. I also upgraded BlueIris to the newest version and rebooted my system. After 1 day of monitoring, the issue on cam 1 seems to be gone.
However - now , I have a similar issue, but now on multiple cams (cam 6 to cam 11).
The commonality is that the cams that are currently affected have the same storage location.
BlueIris Support also asked me to check all security software exemptions. I made sure that Windows Defender is not scanning the storage locations - although Windows Defender is not showing in the GUI which exclusions have been configured (I did check the registry and the exclusions were there).
Anyone else has had similar issues with blueiris recording gaps and managed to fix them?
