My first "serious" camera :D Some info about settings please :)

I would like to say thank you to @EMPIRETECANDY , the IPC-B5442T-ASE arrived in italy in about ten days (very quickly), the camera is so big (its seems the description of a porn clip but it is the truth ), my old chinese camera seems a toys compared to this. Anyway Thank you @EMPIRETECANDY , you are a great seller with patience, and your product are well made and with good manufacture, i will buy other cams (i need 3 more) when i can...

Well, i will connect the camera tomorrow, i'm using a NVR4208-4KS2

- I need some advice for the settings like BLC,WDR, 3D Noise, IVS?!? or other settings that i never seen them before... Can someone share an image with his settings, i really appreciate this For luminosity, time shutter, contrast etc, i know that i have to find them myself according to my ambience light.

- What Compression do you suggest me? H264 or H265? Maybe i can use also 264+/265+

- I saw an option Day or Night, what does it means? I can use some settings for the night and other for light? The camera will switch settings automatically when it is day or night ?

- Camera has also Alarm in/out and audio in/out how to use them?? Maybe the Audio is IN for the Microphone and OUT for the speaker? but i think also that you must connect them to the NVR if you want to record audio, right? but What about alarm? What can you do with those wires?

- Is there any firmware update from Dahua/Andy ? Can i also use dahua firmware if there are any, right?

Hey Matt, I just set up two cams, but i am using Blu iris. I used the Wiki to help with my setup. It seems intimidating but i just continued to go through it as well as the forums they have links to. Even with all the information they give you in the forums and the wiki, it still comes down to your particular area you are setting the cam up in. You will use the information they give you to get your cams to fit your location the best. look at the forums by looney tunes, he does test with different cams and makes suggestions on all the cam settings you are asking about. I purchased two cams just to see which model i would eventually use. HDW2231R-ZS 2mp starlight and UD04364n-A 4mp bullit cam. I care more about night video so i want the best video i can get when it's dark. The best cams for me after setting these two cams up is the 2mp starlight. The bullit cam cannot compare to the starlight when it gets dark. I had to go through and tweak all the setting in the cam to get decent night video and its is still not acceptable for me. So i will take that one down and place it in my garage which will always have a lot of light. The non strar light bullit cam will do much better with more light but i will not be adding more light. So now i know which cams i need i will start buying all 2mp starlight cams. Good luck.

NVR is good for newbie first starting out and not knowing other options. I did it myself until I seen all the amazing benefits of blue iris. I now could never go back to using a NVR.

I don't have a pc 24/24 up, so i must use the NVR, i also prefer the pc to connect the cameras, because there are Lots of options or plugin, but you also know that a pc need more watt than an NVR, so you spend more Money with electricity
