sony IMX290 DOL WDR function

Hi every one,
We are using an imx290 Sony image sensor for one of our projects. According to its datasheet, it has capability of DOL WDR (digital overlay wide dynamic range). But I cannot find any command or code to activate this function in the sensor... . is it a function in the sensor or it's the ISP (image signal processor) task to manage the sensor to do a WDR?
I was wondering if anyone can help me in this issue.

Hi did you have any success on that so far? There are a lot of unrevealed imformation in the offucial manual... This is really disturbing.
