Not sure of where to post this but figured it's hardware and it's an accessory so here goes. I got this email this morning and it looks promising, perhaps for someone. Presently I can view some selected cams from my BI server on my 65" Sony TV using TinyCam Pro. The only reason why I have this setup is that for now I don't have another way to see some cams from the living room. But it's clumsy in that when I'm viewing TV and want to see a cam or two I press the button to launch an app on the TV its takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r for the cams to come up and by then, whatever I wanted to see has come and gone.

I plan to move the BI server to a seldom used coat closet near the front door and hang a 32 to 42" flatscreen on the outside of the wall of that closet which faces the living room. I'll be able to see all cams all the time from the living room just by turning my head. I just need to get a...yep.....a "round tuit".

In the meantime, this device caught my eye. They call it "low cost" ($180) and for them, it is, as many of their other items are $500 to $4,000.

Anyway, I like the PiP feature and the IR remote. I imagine one could plug a FireStick into one of the HDMI ports and sideload TinyCam onto it also.

Right now I stream a group of cams from BI using MJPG to the TinyCam app on the Sony (Android) TV and it looks pretty good, just clumsy mechanically as I mentioned going from TV (Dish satellite DVR on HDMI-1) to TinyCam app.

Maybe this product will be of some interest to someone here. Meanwhile, I am looking for the hard-to-find round tuit.

Nice find, note that it's limited to 1080p for those with high res TVs.

I miss two things on new TVs, one is PIP and the other are direct input buttons on remote. I guess PIP wasn't popular enough, I use to have two games going at the same time and switched them with the PIP button.

I use a RPi and omxplayer, but have to switch inputs by bringing up input list, cursor down and selecting the HDMI input...which may take too much time also.

Edit: Just thought of another option, an HDMI switcher with remote. Use to have one when my AV Pio Elite receiver didn't have HDMI, used a cheap HDMI switcher instead, only took one button press to switch. Something like this:

Thanks for posting. This is one of those "get around to it" projects for me too.
Interested in seeing the replies of others that have implemented solutions.

I'm with concord's pi idea. That's also what I use for a separate monitor on my wall nearish my TV. With a little linux knowledge, you can use a $35 pi3 and show your cameras on a 1080p monitor however you want. If you're going UHD, probably will want the slightly more expensive pi4. Google "displaycameras" (more customization, but more difficult) or "rpisurv" (simpler, less custom).

I have a cheap dahua 4108 nvr (could also be a pi, firestick..) on one of the inputs of my yamaha av receiver. I can control it with Home Assistant. When the cam at my front door is triggered, BI will send a mqtt message and HA will switch the yamaha to the NVR input. Works great!

I want to update you that Rpisurv now (since 2.1.9) also has the advanced options to specify custom coordinates for custom layouts if users want to.
