IR Control via BI instead of Hikvision Camera

I'm looking to switch to having BI control my IR cut over, as I can relate the switching ON/OFF of LEDs with Sunrise/Sunset.

If/when I do this, how do I then prevent my Hikvision cameras from 'fighting' with BI and contradicting my settings?

If I set it to Day/Night, do I not run the risk, of the "Camera" thinking it is still Day, even after BI has turned LEDs off (and the camera then turns the LEDs on again?)
Not sure what happened to the attachment.
Anyway, I'd give it shot, it'll either work or not, no harm done...set the camera"s "Day/Night" from "Auto" to "Day" and then 'Save", hopefully BI will control the LEDs.

Have changed one Cam to 'day' and the others to Auto.

I'm wondering if the camera 'knows' its been triggered by an external source and just ignores its inbuilt config... we'll see I guess

All seem to have transitioned correctly to IR ON via Blue Iris (regardless of Camera config), so lets see what the morning brings.

Seems to be fine. However, doing it this way, seems to ignore/nuke the BLC settings on the cameras.

Any ideas how I might be able to retain BLC config from the camera, and/or pass those variables via Blue Iris? On a couple of my cameras I have the BLC offset to oneside to increase brightness in darker areas.

I'm still using this curl method, you can check out the post and see what you think:

Magic, I knew I’d seen something like this.

Will give it ago later, thanks!
