what is the maximum size external usb hdd you can attach to a Dahua NVR4108-8P-4KS2 for backing up video?


my WD My Passport 5TB USB Portable External Hard Drive reports as 0 capacity and 0 free space.

Assuming you have tried formatting it via the NVR already, perhaps use a WinBox to delete the partition and then have another go with the NVR?

through a bit of experimentation, i discovered that partitions at 4tb or greater than 4tb are not accessible. in the end, i just divided the drive into two partitions roughly the same size and they are both accessible.
