There is no NVR4216/4232-16P-4KS2e , Model without E.
The NVR5216/5232-16P-4KS2E support 8 ports ePOE, the 42 series not support.
Decoding Capability NVR5216XX4-ch@8MP(30fps), 16-ch@1080P(30fps)
Decoding Capability NVR42XX8 channels@1080p (30 fps)

Any refurb cameras you recommend for sides and also anything refurb in the back to show deck / door. (I already got bullet for back to cover 100ft space)

Hi, reviews for the NVR5216-16P-4KS2E say a very loud fan. Can something be done about this? I need to put in son's bedroom closet due to wiring.
Also, is there such a thing as a 16 channel NVR with 8 POE ports and 8 non POE (for wifi cameras).
Or is it better to buy a 16 channel Non POE and buy a 8 channel POE injector that plugs into the 8 POE cameras?
Sorry, i am a noob trying to escape the Lorex ecosystem!

Loud is subjective.
If you purchase a non POE nvr, it will be quieter, because it has to provide much less power output than a POE version.
Don't mess with injectors, use a POE+ gigabyte switch with the number of ports you need, such as a Netgear Prosafe line.

You can if your handy, change out the fans in the POE version of the NVR by using Noctua brand of fans to make it much quieter.

Thanks. I don't even now the difference between POE injectors and switches!
Just to be sure (from my noob perspective), I can get a 16 channel NON PoE NVR + 8 Channel PoE switch and then connect 8 PoE Cameras and 8 wifi or 8 self powered cameras for a total of 16 channels (or some combination there of?)

Also, an 8 port PoE switch means that I can only connect 7 cameras? 1 port has to connect to the router / a switch / or the NVR?
