Upgrading firmware for DS-7608NI-SE/P

Hello all,
Looking to upgrade an old Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-SE/P. I've been reading through the forums and one thing that worries me is doing firmware upgrade from 2.x.x to 3.x.x

My serial indicates "P0820151208BBRR" region is "other".

Details:
  • Firmware version is: V2.2.5 build 150421
  • Encoding version is: V1.0 build 131223

I'm a little worried as it's an old unit and the upgrade from 2.x to 3.x appears to have some problems. Can anyone provide some guidance on the best way to update the device?

Is there a way to get a copy of the current firmware build from the device?

When I upgraded my two Hikvision NVR's, I went with one upgrade at a time in chronological order. Worked out just fine. I did not want to take any chances. :)

I am running V3.4.95

Looking for the latest release. Is it V3.4.103? Red something about a 4 and 5 version...?

Hi DaBrode

Is there any chance I could get a copy of some (or all if easier) of these firmwares, in particular from "Firmware V3.0.10 Build141125 European for NVR 76xx" and up to the latest one that you have? Not sure if this will make much of a difference or if I should just ditch the ageing box and buy a new NVR really... trying to get some features like google drive cloud back working etc and hoping a new firmware might have the features added.

If anyone else knows where to find firmwares downloads for DS-7608NI-SE/P then I would be very grateful ?

I have just replaced the power supply at a cost of around £50 so hoping to gets some more use out of this NVR yet (especially Google Drive cloud back up). I have 2mp Hikvision cameras and don't really want to spend more money on a new box when this one does nearly everything I need it to.

Thanks for the links.

I have tried newish ones from the internet and they will not install (mismatch stated onscreen) so will try some earlier ones but will be careful as you said.

All updated to latest version (as per Russian and Hik Europe site Links) and working fine.. thanks again for your help Alastair!

I don't suppose you or any other members know how to backup the internal video to a cloud based service? The internal hardrive is 4TB so plenty big enough for my home usage but wanted to be able back up the overwritten video files online as I get free/unlimited Google storage (a perk from my work).

Hello please i need your help , my NVR version is DS-7604NI-SE\P , i will need all available firmware versions you have so i update one by one , i am doing all this with the hope PLATFORM ACCESS option will be Available with the latest Update . Thank you very much

Your build number indicates a 2015 released firmware.
The earliest firmware version I have is 2.3.3 build 130604 from the USA FTP portal of around 2015 (meaning released in 2013, just when the SE/P series was rather popular.
The earliest firmware from the European portal was 2.3.7 build 131112 (also released in 2013).
So you are asking for an earlier version (2.2.5) with a later year build date (2015). It seems confusing. Where have you seen this strange firmware version?
