From my watching. video looks bit better than the 1st videos. Just the pic still a little blue, can down the blue to make the pic perfect.
For the reported bugs I push dahua 3 times per day. Lol.
Yes as I reported 7/9 and the way too aggressive AGC and Auto Iris pushes a lot of blue into the image which is actually just it increasing the overall brightness and then highlighting the color shift of this cam setup. 6/11 is nowhere near as bad BUT if you want to shift away from remaining blue then can easily do it by manually white balancing to mitigate the remaining AGC / Auto Iris push. I just did this on Looneys as well to improve the overall color and look of the image. All of this has been reported back in my bugs as I know you've seen too @EMPIRETECANDY. Appreciate you helping to push this hard. I'm currently working with Dahua dev team this evening too producing more videos to show the bugs in action :), appreciate their focus on these bugs as well !

@Wildcat_1 - so, do you think this auto iris and AGC bug you found could explain why the image stays brighter for so much longer when increasing shutter speeds?

As I mentioned in my review, when I first left everything at auto/default and just started playing with shutter, I was surprised how fast I could go with the shutter until the image started to get darker. Like after getting to 1/250 and not seeing it get darker, I did 1/10,000 just to see if it got dark because I thought maybe it was broke.

With that said, I wasn't noticing the typical issues when we would manually adjust iris and gain on other cameras, but wanted to see your thoughts?
@wittaj just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about your question my friend. After spending 3-4 hours tonight getting Dahua dev team more info, further device logs, annotating frame walkthroughs, extra videos (from multiple capture devices) and giving them additional pointers on where to focus in code to see these bugs in action along with how to fix, hope you don't mind but am going to call it for the evening and will respond tomorrow so I can do your question justice :)

Yeah just using the site video attachment upload. No worries, just wondered if others were seeing it.
Yes, in conversation with wildcat, it's mainly that the firmware still has issues to overcome.
Mine is much better on the 6/11 firmware, but there is definitely room for improvement that Dahua will hopefully be able to make.

The good news is since these appear to be rooted in 5849 code that these fixes will then assist as that range of products builds out. In other words findings these FW issues early will benefit future cams in the range :)

Any news on the other cameras of the x49 Series?? Something on the way to best guy wildcat ??

IPC-HFW5449T1-ZE-LED
IPC-HDBW5449R1-ZE-LED
IPC-HFW5449T-ASE-LED
IPC-HDW5449TM-SE-LED

IPC-HFW5449T1-ZE-LED looks real good ... also seems that they made a new turret (better lens, better leds?) ... according to specs 5442-led 0.0016Lux/F1.6 ( Color,1/3s,30IRE) vs 5449-led 0.0005 Lux@F1.0 (Color, 30IRE) and 30m vs 17m LED range ?

I push dahua engineers 3 times a day, haha.
They finally updated their international website with the models...

A bit strange... they updated some specs in the "newest" version (same rev) of specsheet... now its rated as 50m for 4k model and 70m for varifocal 4mp instead of 40/60m  maybe some other changes, just take a fast look

Also a little busy for moving to a new office.
humanoids need vacation too... i see wildcat and andy working 24/7 :eek::eek:

2.8mm will have some stocks at the end of this month, and 3.6mm amazon has 1 left , The new stocks can be ready at Aug.25th. Will put stocks on aliexpress at then. The chips has a big problem for this 4K cams.

This pic was taken when we ask dahua engineer to test the colorvu and the color4K-X
Now bugs we reported to them, they are research on it, hope can make them more better after de-bug.

Do not over extend yourself and take some breaks if needed. We need you around. :)

Biggest change I made was to use “Auto” on the LEDs at 90%. Last time used manual, I think that is what caused the light haze previously.

The Auto function seems to tame the LEDs. I will do more tests this weekend with and without my coach lights and flood light to see how the LEDs adjust to different ambient lighting conditions.
