Dahua HFW1831 won’t connect to network

Has this happened to anyone before? I did a factory reset on this cam and now I can’t even see it.
IPCONFIGtool doesn’t see it - tried different POE ports on my switch which other cams use no problem.
Logged into my router and there isn’t even an IP assigned to it like it doesn’t see it.
I took everything off the network and left just a laptop and the ip cam and it still doesn’t see it.
Maybe I bricked it?

Remember that the default address for a Dahua camera is 192.168.1.108. That may not be in the range of your local LAN. On the Config Tool you need to specify the range you are looking for, IE 192.168.1.1 through 192.168.1.254.

Ahhh yes. abs my new ASUS router only assigns ips in the 192.168.50.1 range. I don’t know why it was like that at default. Very annoying I’ll try another router instead of reconfiguring this one. Thank you!

You don't need too change or reconfigure the router. Use the Config Tool and specify the IP range ore address in it. Alternately, change the address of your PC/Laptop to 192.168.1.10, plug in the camera, log into the camera GUI and change the camera that way the reset your PC to your local LAN address or DHCP.
