On the 29th at 4PM I had audio, then I updated BI to get the latest Deepstack options, and after I had no audio

Has anyone else had this issue? I never rebooted after the update, the only thing changed was the version

I just rebooted, no luck. And the camera has audio in the UI of the camera, just not in Blue Iris

Any ideas? Since nothing changed I'm pretty confused. Its not just the UI, as if I play back an old clip, it has audio.

Just went back to 5.5.1.7 and audio is working

Trying to figure out what changed recently

I'm running BI 5.5.1.19 and have audio if that helps. Everything else is working normally in .19 as well.

Thats really strange, I first noticed it on 5.5.1.18, upgraded to 5.5.1.19 to see if it was fixed, and it wasn't

Maybe now its working I'll try upgrade again and see if it makes a difference

Nope, updated and just silence!

I’m afraid to venture past 6/11/21 version.
Took quite awhile to stabilize my new build. And with help from the forum and Fendermans link to intel drivers it’s been perfect. And for “ This Old Condo”, its good enough.

Yeah I feel you there, for such a "Critical" piece of software I don't really like updating unless there is a feature I need

I missed a pretty good clip that audio would have really been awesome with, I guess I'll add checking audio to my list of things to do after updating

I think you have something specific to your system going on there. I haven't got a clue what it could be though. Maybe Mike or BRF will have some thoughts.

I contacted support also, hopefully they have an idea

I had an issue with 5.5.1.18 because of crashes, My Windows error log shows Faulty module ntdll.dll ver 10.0.19041.1288. I'm not the only one reporting an issue on IPCT with 5.5.1.18.
I'm gone on to 5.5.1.17 with audio working normally and no crashes for over 48 hrs.
After reading your report I'm sticking with 5.5.1.17 for now.

Well I'm glad its not just me with issues. I'll wait a while and see what happens

Any idea how I can get a copy of 5.5.1.17? It looks like I can't select it on the download list

Have you tried doing a find/inspect on a cam to see if that changes anything.

I did not, I'll give that a shot later on

Ooof. This is why I'm still on his last stable release (5.4.9.18 from August)

FYI - I don't see 5.5.1.17 either in my dropdown. He must have pulled it at some point because of a bug in it.

In that case, I'll just stick on 5.5.1.7 for the time being and let things go on for a while

The only reason I went past that was for being able to set more than one Deepstack instance, but I have yet to even mess with that

My web search came up with ntdll.dll being a generalized error and recommended a check on the W10 file system.
As administrator I ran DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and found no errors. So seems like an error with 5.5.1.18.

Good catchall answers there, the usual MS BS, never in my life have I had DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth or sfc scannow fix a single issue

I had a similar issue a few versions ago. No audio on some BI cameras, but it was there on the web gui. It seemed like restarting the cameras in BI, and waiting a few minutes, audio showed up. :idk: Made no sense to me. I had NO audio on a couple of cameras, kept looking, restarted the cameras, looked some more, went back to the multi camera screen, came back to the problem camera, and, voila! sound!

Oh man, just noticed Blue Iris was using 12GB of RAM, what the heck

I rebooted, hopefully that was a one-off after not rebooting. Why did I update!

Damnit, it keeps going up. Seems like going to 5.5.1.19 kicked it off, and going back to 5.5.1.7 never stopped it. Reboot no help
