Been bench testing this Uniview camera to compare with dahuas line. The live feed via web GUI is unusable. It is choppy, sometimes just cuts out to black all together for a few seconds and for all the Gen Xers out there, sometime I literally look like max headroom. This is all while using edge browser as I dont think chrome is supported.

Anyone else having these issues? I never have this issue with any of my dahua cameras...

Hmmm...IIRC, both Edge and Chrome are Chromium-based.
Assuming ONVIF is enabled and user/pass set up, how does it look on ODM "live" view?

Nevermind! I see the ODM what is a clickable link. I'll take a look tomorrow as the camera is at my work.

ODM software is saying no video signal so I am assuming ONVIF is turned off but I just looked through all of the camera settings 3 times and did not see the option for ONVIF. Do you know where in the uniview menus this would be located?

IN ODM did you "Login" and the "Add Device" with cam's username and password?
Then click on the added cam in the left panel and then to the right select "Live Video" ?

It automatically added all my IP cameras on the left column. I then selected the uniview one and entered the user and pass. It does show a thumbnail of cameras image but wont show when I hit live view...

EDIT:

I changed the encoder and resolution pixels and it is now showing live feed with no lag! So I am not sure wtf is up with Uniview camera GUI ..
Glad ODM is working; note the RTSP URL down at the bottom, under the live view image.
FWIW, I read in the Quick Start Guide and the Users Manual for the IPC3232ER3-DUVZ (both here) when viewing the webGUI to use IE with the active-X plug-in.
I could not find any info for the IPC3235ER3-DUVZ as you listed,

Ok, so IE works fine! It is just edge ( and chrome shows no video ). IE wont be around much longer so I'd like to get edge working as telling someone to use a retired browser looks bad.

What exactly is the RTSP link used for?

Video streaming to Blue Iris VMS, for one; although BI will generally find it anyway, especially if it's an ONVIF-compatible cam.
One can also get the free VLC (for MacOS, Windows, Linux, Android) and Open a Network Stream, put in that URL and view live the RTSP stream, including audio if available.
VLC will then ask for credentials (user/pass) unless it's part of the URL or the cam has an anonymous user.

Here's one that works in VLC with my Amcrest IP2M-841 (Dahua OEM):

Code:
rtsp:/username:password@192.168.1.206:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
NOTE: Be sure to put 2 "/" after "RSTP:", as forum software won't allow 2 to be placed immediately next to each other!

Oh nice! That could come in handy.

For the benefit of others you may try this to see if it works. I've only tested this on Axis, Avigilon, Bosch, Mobotix, Pelco, Hikvision, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony.
Good suggestion. I did actually have these settings on.
Seems there was an issue with the resolution/framerate settings in the camera. Once I changed those settings it worked fine in both chrome and edge!

Understood, but my reply was to address the EOL of Internet Explorer and how to use the Edge browser if required. :thumb:
