I have the new 4MP version. Put it up in place of an older cam, for the double views . The pictures from both cameras will show up in Config Tool ,but not Synology SS . I only get 1 with no option for the other.I was thinking it does not use up another license as it is only 1 port. Any ideas how to get both cameras feed to display with SS? While I`m at it ....When I go to the Dahua Wiki looking for the manuals for the boobie and others it say no text available.not sure if it me or the computer.is there a place with the manuals for this and the 4K color cameras someone can send me a link to?

Thanks I was hoping that was not the case. I`m not sure if its possible to keep the IR out of the lens if you have to have it on. I might put this inside and stick a pair of 5442s out there.

I have two of these cams and it is possible to keep the IR out of the lens. You have to make sure the gasket isn't rolled and do not angle the lens such that any of the LED drops below the dome into the camera.

I will have to pay more attention to the gasket. I assumed it was sealing the lens against the dome.I might have too much angle. Have to check when it stops pouring. They are really great in the daytime, just have to work out the night! Thank you very much!

If you get the model with 2.8mm lenses, you may be okay.

Edited to add:

If you do get it and you find that an IR led drops below the dome, it would be possible to disable that particular LED or LEDS. But this would require some disassembly and voiding the warranty.

So I tried adjusting the angle of the cameras. I have the break in LEDS at the top and bottom. The gasket seems fine. It will pop off ,and looks like it just goes back on and should contact the dome perfectly. However I do get IR reflected back somehow. Does the cameras gaskets have to contact the dome perfectly meaning I must not have them angled down or up too much. Sorry I only get a chance to do this stuff once in a while. I will keep at it ,maybe try to find the IRs that effect my picture and instead of trying to disable them I`ll put some tape.

Yeah the gasket has to make a perfect seal on the dome or you will get IR bounce. I have spread mine pretty far and still not get bounce, but the closer to the center the better.

I would wipe clean the inside of the domes. Any residual of the gasket left behind on the dome from sitting in a warehouse and being sent to you can create a pathway to IR bleed. I had that happen with my first one.

Also make sure it is IR bleed from within and not something outside in the field of view causing it. IR bounce off a wall or leaf can wreak havoc.

Thanks for your reply and suggestion. It seems pretty simple, but still have a problem. I`ll check it today and we`ll see later tonight.
