Looking for a upgrade in my pet cams only requirement is they need to be wireless. Been using Hikvision cube cameras for years they work but compared to the new color cameras from Dahua they look bad and the two way audio is awful.
4K on a 1/3" sensor would be an absolute shit show. Would you mind buying one and uploading some night video for us? lolI have the Amcrest in the garage, that has just failed.
Should I replace it with the same 1080p, or the new 4K version?
I believe that the 1080p should be better, since it has the 1/2.7 sensor, right(4k is 1/3)?
Though the new 4k one even has auto tracking.
Don't you mean 4MP, not 4K (8MP) ?I have the Amcrest in the garage, that has just failed.

Do you have a link?I knew the answer, but man the 4k and auto tracking is very tempting.
Have no need for PTZ, is that TP link really better than a ds-2cd2442fwd-iw? I was wrong with what camera i had.+1^^^., I have 3 myself.
Also, if no need for pan/tilt, consider these ==>> How to stream RSTP from TP-LINK Tapo C110 camera to Blue Iris or VLC
It's $23 on amazon==>> TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Security Camera for Baby Monitor, Dog Camera w/ Motion Detection, 2-Way Audio Siren, Night Vision, Cloud & SD Card Storage(Up to 256 GB), Works w/ Alexa & Google Home(Tapo C110)
Try one! For $23 it's barely a gamble!Have no need for PTZ, is that TP link really better than a ds-2cd2442fwd-iw? I was wrong with what camera i had.
True but for $23 i would not expect much.Try one! For $23 it's barely a gamble!
I've spent more than that on meals for 2 at a fast food place!
Oh, I wouldn't either but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised...free returns on Amazon if not!True but for $23 i would not expect much.
No, you cannot BUT..... once your router's DHCP server assigns it an IP, just log into your router and reserve that IP.Can you set a static IP for these TP link cams?
Yes, according to TP-LINK.Do the Tapo C111 work the same?
Yes, AFTER you ctreate an account with the app, etc. following the instruction to provide a RTSP stream. Also i wonder if i can block these cameras from the internet with my firewall.
Yes but certainly not if firewall blocks access to Internet.I assume they use the cloud normally?
