Yes, probably so. I think they got a few hours of sleep in the cul-de-sac. Perhaps sleeping off a bit of intoxication.

Getting comfortable
Certainly in no hurry to get anywhere, which is a good thing because that vehicle looks like it will disintegrate if it gets above forty miles an hour for a few minutes. 
Maybe they're looking for a Days Inn ambiance, your street emanated vibes more like a Motel 6?

Around the 2-minute mark he goes back out on the main highway with no lights on. However, it was a short trip at that point and not much traffic at that hour.
