IVS not triggering notifications

Hi All,

I'm trying to enable IVS (instead of SMD) although I'm not getting notifications via DMSS.

Settings for IVS below, under 'video detection' I've unticked enable based on other feedback I've seen.

Is there something else I'm missing here?

Well if its not checked, it wont record

Are you using an NVR? Watch it live and NVR or camera live view with IVS lines showing, and see if the lines flash red indicating it actually tripped the rule.

If it is actually tripping the rule, then look at how your setup to receive notifications

Is P2P enabled on the NVR?
Are you logged into the Dahua cloud account on the app?

There have been various versions of the app that act differently.

On mine, I can’t get local IVS alerts without being signed into the Dahua account

Thanks for the advice. I can confirm that IVS is in fact not triggering. I've tinkered with the settings, I can't seem to work out exactly what I'm missing. Is there anything obvious based on the screenshot above?

Is this attached to NVR? What are your Period Settings.

Hard drive also needs to be set to record.

Thanks all. The events are now triggering, I now move onto the next challenge of notifications flowing through to DMSS.

With SMD motion detection, notifications were working flawlessly.

I've gone back into the DMSS notification settings and I've chosen 'Trip Wire' notifications on the camera, as opposed to SMD.

I have an NVR also. Is there something else I should be mindful of?

Again on my version of DMSS, to get IVS notifications, I have to be logged into the Dahua account AND have P2P enabled on the NVR
