IVS question / issue

Hey folks - I finally have my PTZ4K45X-AI installed and working on getting it ready for my project. I've come across a stumbling block when I've set up my IVS rule which is perplexing, but I am also new to this. I've drawn tripwires and I want to disable the target filter so it's not tracking humans or cars (I want it to detect animals out here), but under the rule it is not letting me disable it (it's greyed out). I've rebooted the device to see if that could possibly clear the issue, but no dice. The only thing I can think of is if maybe I need to have something else configured/set-up that is blocking this that I haven't? Any insights by chance? (and I plan on drawing more tripwires, just started playing with this). It also won't let me uncheck both Human and Motor Vehicle (it blocks on needing one to be enabled).

Unfortunately that is a big complaint. Maybe a future firmware update can fix that.

Do you know if it's a bug where it works sometimes? Or is this an always-greyed out case? Would you happen to know if I could use something like a virtual fence or another IVS type of rule as a workaround for now?

It isn't really a bug but is designed that way. Even if it could be turned off, the AI is still looking for cars and humans.

Recently some models have been getting firmware updates to track animals.

Doh - that stinks (thought it was possible). I assume the new firmware question would be for Andy?

He should still be able to choose human or vehicle or both…

some other setting isn’t allowing it?

Use General codec (not AI or whatever other choice they give)

You don’t have Acupic or metadata checked in smart plan right? Just IVS ?

I can unselect Human or Vehicle one at a time, or have them both selected. My understanding that being able to flip Target Filter off would let the IVS rule pick up other objects, but appears to not be supported in this camera's firmware (unless there are some pre-reqs I haven't set up yet). I am using the general codec and not doing anything with metadata. Just IVS.

How should autotracking work without target filter ?

Have you try to disable autotracking ? Is it now possible to disable the target filter ?
Not sure to be honest. I was watching one of the empire tech videos online that said turning it off would allow it to pick animals up (but must not for this camera). I assume there should be some awareness of a generic object that is moving across a plane? Not sure.

I lost all of my yankee blood years ago so i couldn't tolerate the winter's but damn, I'd be tempted to make a fall trip
