Okay, I have understood. Can I also reset the camera in the menu or do I have to do it directly on the camera? I have another question. What do you think of my Ivs settings? Is there anything I could improve or is it set up well as it is?
Are your IVS settings working for you? Getting motion when triggered? I use Blue Iris for my motion detections, sorry I don't have much IVS experience, but many here do and should be able to help you...

They work without any problems during the day. However, in the first photo, they do not trigger at night with the newspaper carrier on the bike. What I also find strange is that there are no entries under Ivs in the Nvr although it has already been triggered several times today. Everything is displayed normally in the Dmss app.

You could do either but I would make note of your settings, you could backup your config but sometimes it may not work with the new firmware. I normally reset at the camera, BUT you will have to resetup your camera as if you just installed it. You could try the reset, not factory, in the menu first...
BUT: You mentioned after the firmware upgrade your camera no longer does motion, I would go double check your settings, it could just be a firmware change/addition...

If none of the above works, I would reach out to Andy @EMPIRETECANDY
I will reset the cameras and then set them up again. I'll hang up one of the cameras today that still has the old firmware on it. Many thanks for your help.

For color4K-T settings, here have a guide video, maybe can help you something on the setting.

I wish I was better help, I just know about Resetting after firmware upgrade, the Experts here have taught me that...it does not always help/change anything but it is good practice...

Thank you very much, I will watch the video later. . This is what it looks like for me at night. I left everything on standard and Ai-ssa controls the image.

Have you recorded motion, a person walking through the scene? Auto/Default settings won’t usually be very good, typically motion blur. But it’s a matter of how much light you have so YMMV

People are displayed as Smd in the Ai settings but not when I go to playback.

hmm, you posted the IPC-HDBW3849R1-ZAS-PV-S5 pics here, i thought you are using the Color4K-T, the IPC-HDBW3849R1-ZAS-PV-S5 is 1/2.7cmos and can't compare to the 1/1.2CMOS. I thought why 4K-T have such poor pics.
The camera not work well at this low light place, that is the main reason the IVS not work very well. I think need to add some more light to the place.

The camera has a 1/2.8 sensor. I was thinking about buying two IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-PRO with the 1/1.8 sensor and replacing them. However, I don't know if the detection range is sufficient.

A 1/2.8" sensor is even smaller than 1.2.7".

You don't have enough light and are in backlight condition where the faces would be dark as the person is in between the camera and the streetlight.

You need to either add light near the camera or use a camera with infrared.

use 1/1.2cmos full color at low light place, or just use the 4mp IR IPC-T54IR-AS S3.
Dual illumination camera the pic quality is not too good compare to the single IR or the full led one.
I was thinking about buying two IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-PRO with the 1/1.8 senso-------This 3 series is lite series, can't compare to the 5 series.
