Hello guys,

I have a hikvision NVR HWN-4108MH with 6 bullet cameras (1080P) HWI-B120H-D/W(D).
The area where I use this hardware is very far from the city in a forested valley and therefore mobile internet coverage is limited. No other internet provider there and I use a LTE router.
The average OOKLA speed test results are:
8 Mbps down
2 Mbps up

My problem is mostly with the remote live view (sub stream) during the day sometimes it is not possible to get a smooth live view.
I changed the default max bit rate and fps values for the sub stream to :

max. bitrate: 300 kbps
bitrate type: variable
fps: 15
video quality: medium

It is a little bit better now, but still not good enough.

I attached 2 screenshots of current main and sub stream settings.
Could you pls give me some hints which will be the best values for the sub stream settings (maybe mainstream too).

Thanks and have a good day ahead!

I no little about HiK stuff but have you tried turning OFF h.265 and using H.264? WHile it doesnt directly effect bitrate H.265 on my Dahua equipment seems to tax the camera's resources

Actually I tested it with H.264 but unfortunately I didn't see any noticeable difference
