Good day.
I have a Dahua DHI-XVR4104C recorder with two EZVIZ cameras connected to it. Model numbers of cameras is CS-H3C and CS-H8C. I managed to add them to the recorder and it displays fine. However when I attempt to configure motion detect, I get the error "Failed to get camera configuration". Both recorder and cameras firmwares are up to date. The two analogue cameras works fine. Is there anything I can try to solve the issue? Much appreciated.

The Dahua NVR probably does not fully support the EZVIZ cameras.

Configure the cameras directly on the cameras themselves.

Thank you for your response. I'm trying to setup MD recording only. I've configured the MD on the two cameras directly, but the recorder still does not record during MD. Is this a compatibily issue between the cameras and the recorder?

If you cannot configure the settings from the NVR then I would say possibly incompatible.

Are you adding them using private protocol or ONVIF?

The only way I can set it up to display on my NVR is through customised and the rstp protocol (rtsp:/192.168.1.178:554/h264)

Yes so rtsp is video only, you can't get any motion, SMD or IVS rules using that unless the XVR does the analysis.

Some of the newer XVRs support IVS and SMD by the XVR that would be your only option.
