Issue Saving Clips

I have an issue where I am unable to find the clips I am exporting in order to save.
When I right-click and select Convert/Export / Then I select begin.

After that I get a screen that shows Finished, but when I click on that link, nothing happens.
I've check the download folder and it's not there. I've tried different browsers and it's the same thing.

Any idea on where these clips are saved after

I'm having the exact same issue using UI3. I've been using BI for years on multiple systems and I'm stumped.

Export immediately goes to finished, without the normal export processing status bar. The file download link (for a file that doesn't exist). Convert/Export list will also not show the file.

I just tried downloading a clip using the latest version of Chrome and I noticed a brief message flash up about an insecure download, when I clicked on the download arrow in the upper corner of Chrome it showed that I needed to tell it to "Keep" the download, at which point it was saved to my downloads folder

My issue is actually trying to export and not directly downloading the bvr clip (that works BTW), but the keep message is a great tip for Chrome downloads.

See below image. We I select a portion of a clip to export

Also, I noticed on the top left of the export options the file size is not being defined:

When I click "Begin Export" it immediately pops up that it's finished and links a file name. There is no file being generated. I think this is what the OP is also experiencing.

I thought I was losing my mind on that.... I never use the newest update-- but i did in this case and it is properly creating export clips again in BI and UI3. They probably should NOT call that version 5.9.4.11 a "stable" release

Quick question - do your exports show up in the UI3 "Convert/Export List?" Mine is empty despite being able to export.

The system with this version is a new build with 34 cameras on it. I was doing a training session to show key staff how to log in via ui3, view clips, and export/save clips --- and the feature didn't work. Nothing like instilling confidence in people!

I just reverted that system back to version 5.9.3.4, which is a "highly stable update" from June 18 2024. We will see how it goes.

Let me know if that works. I have 3 locations with BI and will probably be a bit more cautious about updating from now on.

I always stick with "highly stable update" versions and have never had a problem until now-- but it does give a person a renewed level of caution. I just tested that functionality in 5.9.3.4 and it is working fine so far. I have that version in use on my home system and it has been working there since it was updated.

Hey @fenderman --- have you run into this issue on your many different machines? What is your update policy-- only do it when a new feature is truly needed? Or do you update based on an amount of time since you last did it? For me in this case-- it was a brand new install, so my download was the latest version.
