This camera costs over 100 dollars more. I don't really need the features of the 7000 series or are there big differences where the 100 dollars would be worth it? Do you think the H: 43° could be a problem?
43 degree can be to narrow..
it's almost 45, so half of 90 (straight angle).

stay under position of camera and do 45 degree (half of 90) with You hands - area between your hands will be visible to camera with 45 degree..

ZE (wide varifocal) version of bullet/dome exists in normal/cheaper 5442E version and 5442H premium (chassis, optics and double mics from 7xxx) versions..
turret exists only in a cheaper version 5442T, optics from 7xxx are too big for turret...

optics from 7xxx is 2x brighter at wide zoom..

I'm sorry if I'm annoying with my questions, but I don't really know much about camera specs. Then this would probably be the best choice for my scenario IPC-HFW7442H-Z-X. Field of View H: 107°-48°; V: 55°-27°; D: 130°-56° 3 "342,87 US-Dollar"

Man, You jumping over different models like crazy...
7442 is superior model from highest line of Dahua (Ultra line now called WizMind-X)..

Sensor is the same as 5xxx-S3, optics/chassis/double mics are the same as the premium version 5442H-S3, the only difference are much powerful SOC (CPU) and high count (12 in latest firmware) of specialized AI models - from which the most interesting are the one with ANPR - automatic license plate recognition.

So this is interesting model when You want do car plate reading and storing to searchable database in NVR. For that usage usually are used models with Z4 tele zoom (8-32mm) to have big nice zoom-out on cars and theirs plates..

Field of view (and all optics/sensor) in 7442H-Z-X are the same as in 5442H-ZHE-S3 (normal varifocal optics 2.8-12mm).

i would suggest to rethink everything.

if you want overview there are better options like 180 degree. then put the two cams down on the carport edges to get something what can be used to identify someone.

having such a huge roof in field of view will not work with infrared. night view must be terrible or you are running the cam on automode,

from the two pictures this looks one of the worst/useless camerajobs ever.

Du meinst ich soll die einfach nur weiter nach unten richten? Eine 180 Grad Kamera brauche ich nicht.

I don't need license plate recognition for the camera, as it is only our driveway. Then I'll stick with the 5000 series. IPC-HFW5442H-ZHE

Not sure what your aim is, but identify someone at that height is impossible. Even if someone climb up the roof of the carport you wouldnt see the face.

But the camera would hang so low that someone could break or adjust it. That's why I want to have a dome camera there. So far, I haven't had any problems at this location.
IF PROPERLY securely mounted, a turret camera is just as secure as a dome camera, with much less problems.

I'm concerned that someone who is up to something bad at night is trying to disable or break them. With the Ik10, it is quite well protected against this. That's my point.
