Hi Guys, I don't understand why the Imou micro sd card C10 U3 V30 works fine on my imou and dahua cameras while the sandisk U3 A2 V30 and the samsung C10 U3 don't work.
Is the combination of C10, U3 and V30 necessary or I can use a 256GB sd card cheaper than the 30 euros Imous S1?

Hi, I recently installed a "SanDisk High Endurance MicroSD Card 128GB". I worked fine in my Dahua camera.
Maybe it's a faulty SD card?

For cctv / dash cams, which do 24/7 writing You can't use normal SD cards, which are for Android or photo camera use...
Even if they work, they will die in a few months of 24/7 writing data..

You need to use special one, called Endurance series (Samsung/Kingston/SanDisk Endurance)..
They are using much older type of flash memory (usually MLC, not TLC or QLC) which support much higher write cycles..
they are usually slow (U1/V10 or U3/V30) and max supported size is 256 GB..

I have used the Samsung EVO but they are not warranted for cameras. The Samsung Pro Endurance is specifically warrantied for video monitoring. There is a thread on here somewhere that recommends NOT using the Sandisk. They should still all work but might not last. When you put the card in the camera, do you go to the disk usage area and format the card. If not you might try this. Also do the cards work in your PC or other device?

I've had a couple of cases where a card wouldn't work in a particular camera, but works fine in a different same model camera. The only thing I can imagine is that the cameras and/or cards are living on the edge of the specs. I've not seen any trend of more expensive cards working better than cheaper ones. I have only 16 cameras so the sample size here is small.

As others have said, sometimes a card works in one unit and not another.

I have had a few over the years that worked on a computer but not the camera.

And with the fake market, many fakes go out that are not manufacturer SD cards and it will show on things like a camera when they won't work.
