I didn't know this about Qatar, just the tip of an iceberg I imagine.

Qatar hosts the Taliban. The nation has supported and maintained an office for Hamas and its exiled leadership. Finally, it has backed militias in Syria and Libya.

I have yet to understand the West’s support and tolerance to a highly strange degree, of the Muslim world.
Europe encourages an invasion and the US maintains very close military and economic ties to countries who vow to kill us and to end our way of life.
Oil and $$$? That’s the simple answer, but is it more than that?
