Hi everyone, nice to meet you!

I’m just getting started in the world of security systems and I could really use some help with an issue that’s got me stuck.

I’m trying to connect a Hikvision DS-2CD2347G2P-LSU/SL (180° panoramic, 4MP) camera to a DS-7732NI-E4/16P NVR. According to the specs, the NVR supports up to 6MP cameras, and I’ve already updated it to the latest available firmware.

The problem is, the camera just won’t display on the NVR. It’s connected directly to one of the PoE ports, but no video shows up.

Could it be that this NVR isn’t actually compatible with this camera, despite the specs? Or is there something in the configuration I might be missing?

Really appreciate any help or advice you can share. Thanks in advance, friends!

Is there an option in the NVR to select ONVIF for the camera type and use the same username and password for the ONVIF user that you also enabled and created in the camera?

Hi Tony, thanks a lot for your reply!

Both the NVR (DS-7732NI-E4/16P) and the camera (DS-2CD2347G2P-LSU/SL) are Hikvision, so ideally they should be using the Hikvision private protocol instead of ONVIF. Thanks again for the support!

So I guess that's a "no" ?
