If certain unemployed people would be willing to accept just $25 an hour to clean their streets Oakland could look much, much nicer than it has for many years AND might allow the wokers workers to move in off the streets.......the key though is getting those aforementioned "unemployed" people to move. Many have drug issues but also too many are happy where they're at....doing absolutely nothing and holding their hands out.

Given the history of Oakland historically being run by Dems in all levels of government I don't see a bright future for Oakland...it will soon receive the honor of the trashiest, most disgusting city on the 'left' coast.

There does seem to be the hint of something in the works. I would guess that has to do with ActBlue which is blatantly obvious

DOJ/FBI is and has been catching major shit for a month now. I believe they're feeling the pressure based on reports from folks like Mike Davis.

That said, "outing" some folks and arresting are two very different things and so far, even with obvious stand alone cases with public evidence that have no need for "waiting", there seems to be no urgency to actually arrest.

Up-front disclaimer: I haven't read the last two pages of this thread since Thursday. But now that two anti-ICE judges have been arrested, it's becoming crystal clear what the 'FO' portion of 'FAFO' means. As others have asked, "what do two minor arrests mean?" The answer is "a good start".

More importantly, it sends a clear message to other activist judges what lies in store for them. Just making them stop and think is a massive improvement. What's even more important, is the "Overton window" of public awareness and acceptance has been shifted. The public has been clamoring for arrests, and now they are happening. Maybe slowly at first, but for clear and documented offenses. The liberal whiners will scream from the rooftops (to anyone who will listen) it's fascism and dictatorship, but they're ignorantly wrong. The election mandate is becoming more clear every day.
