Firmware for SD8A840-HNF-PA (Dahua)

Hi everyone,


I urgently need the firmware (.bin file) for the Dahua SD8A840-HNF-PA PTZ camera.


I’ve already logged into the Dahua support portal, but the Downloads section is empty. I understand this model replaced the SD8A840WA-HNF, and firmware access is restricted to dealers only.


If anyone here has the correct firmware (e.g., v2.820.0000004.0 or v2.821.0000004.0), I’d really appreciate if you could share it or point me to a working download link.

Thanks, Steve — I tried that firmware file, but unfortunately it doesn’t work with my device it just wont accept it.
I now believe I was mistaken about my camera being the SD8A840-HNF-PA replacement model. Mine is actually the SD8A840WA-HNF, and I’ll focus on finding the correct firmware for that instead.
Appreciate the help and the link anyway!

Do you know what "code name" your firmware had?
Like "Darwin" for this HNF-PA model?

do you have full file name for older firmware?

At Index of /Firmware/Kamery -IP- obrotowe- PTZ/AI could not spot anything
At Index of /Firmwares/SD_Cameras(PTZ)/SD-Fafnir/old found this only file showing DH_SD-Fafnir_MultiLang_PN_Stream3-NormalV2Limited_V2.810.0000003.6.R.210710 and its practicly the same apart from 3.5.R is 3.6.R so it made sense to be the update but it still didn't work. It uploads and gets rejected

Model DH-SD8A840WA-HNF
Actual version V2.810.0000003.5.R build 2020/03/10
thats what i can see from device config
