Bitrate setting on my 54IRs, can it be too high and effect BI performance?

I'm working with Ken right now to troubleshoot a performance issue when viewing the live stream of a camera in UI3. Here is my main stream encode setting used on all of my 54IRs. Would I lose any noticeable picture quality by reducing the Bit Rate to 8192 or 4096? How about the Compression setting, should I use straight H.264 and not H.264H? Thanks

Many here run the 54IR at 8192 just fine.

Every field of view, monitor/display, and eyeballs are different.

Play with the different bitrates and see if you notice a difference.

There is a point of diminishing returns and if for your field of view, monitor, and eyeballs can't tell a difference between max bitrate and 8192 or something else then you are just wasting resources.

Thanks, how about H.264H vs. H.264? I appreciate your reply!

Either one will work. H264 is the standard, but most have not had issues with H264H.

I haven't noticed a difference so I run H264
