Next Tuesday we will get the beta version of the fw if good we will release it. New cams have to work a lot on it, recently I am spending lots of time on it. Till now postive.

Andy NOOOOOOO...
You misunderstood me...

Please name the cameras according to the current model:

IPC-TxyPRO-zz

where:
  • T is Turret / Bullet / Dome
  • s is the Dahua series (2 - basic WizColor, 3 TIOC-PRO WizColor, 5 new 5-line WizColor, 7 - new 7-line WizColor),
  • y is the camera RESOLUTION (4 - 4Mpx, 6 - 6Mpx, 8 - 8Mpx)
  • zz - lens / optics specs (-AS, -ZE, -Z4E, -180, -3X etc)..

Like:
  • IPC-T34PRO-AS, IPC-B36PRO-ZE, IPC-T38PRO-ZE for 3 series
  • IPC-T54PRO-AS, IPC-T56PRO-ZE, IPC-B58PRO-Z4E for 5 series

the same system as actual WizMind-S and WizMind-X cams: IPC-T54IR-ZE, IPC-B58IR-Z4E, IPC-B74IR-ZE, IPC-B78IR-Z4

5 as the second digit has no significance here - Dahua increased the third digit from 4 to 5 to indicate that the camera technology (AI-ISP, large model AI) has changed - there will no longer be a 4 here as third digit in model number for new PRO series cameras.

By using the postfixes 4M and 4K (and not using resolution as 2 digit in model number), you are further causing CONFUSION among buyers.

People don't understands that 4M is the number of megapixels, and 4K is the vertical resolution of the image (which is 8M megapixels)...

I've had to explain the difference between 4M and 4K cameras dozens of times in private messages... these prefixes are a big mistake.

Let's keep Color4K for FullColor 5489 cameras—it's a historical name—but let the other cameras be numbered according Dahua's model numbers & Your classic model numbers.

The first two digits of the model with series & resolution are the same in Dahua and Your coding.

One more time - Your model names should be simple and very similar to Dahua coding.

No strange abominations which are very hard to explain to new people.
