Hi all,
I've just moved my Blue Iris instance from running on Hyper-V on my home computer (i7-8 Gen, 32GB) to up to my main Windows 11. I'm running the latest version of BI now.
I moved it and upgraded it to use the substreams to lower the CPU usage. I was running at 90% CPU most of the time. Now the CPU is very low for BI but I'm getting issues with the substream being delayed from the main stream, and missing recordings. I tried playing around with the settings in the Reolink cameras and it has improved the delay a bit.
Do I need to investigate-
1) Use the cameras (5 IP + Reolink Doorbell) to trigger the recording of the main stream? Will it lower the CPU usage if BI is not searching for triggers on each feed?
2) I understand now that Reolink isn't very good. Is there there a midrange brand I should be migrating to? I don't want to swap all at once due to cost?
Note- the cameras are RLC-520s and some RLC-520A I think.
