Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

I had checked the 'enable pushover push notifications' just to take the screenshot to paste in my previous post. A few minutes later, it sent the notification from hours before about BI not running, so it seems like the notification flag isn't getting flushed out after sending. That, or I'm...

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

It's the watchdog alerts in Blue Iris Tools that I have it configured with Pushover. To test it, I manually closed down BI, BI Tools picked up it no longer running and restarted the program, then sent a pushover notification with 'Blue Iris not detected at h:mm:ss on MM/dd/yyyy". A few minutes...

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

Maybe this has been asked somewhere in the previous 63 pages of discussion, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with the Pushover integration for watchdog alerts. I have it configured and working, but I get the same alert repeated over and over every few minutes roughly according to...

    BI 4 Not Recognizing 2048 x 1536 Stream?

Yeah, it's more the migration effort that would be significant. 12TB of spanned drives, integration with a home automation system, hosting a Kodi mysql database, etc. will mean a lot of time to shift to a new machine. That, and a wife that's sick of me buying more electronics. My plan is to do...

    BI 4 Not Recognizing 2048 x 1536 Stream?

Ok, that led me down the right path. It's an old school 6 core AMD (Phenom X6 1075T) coupled with a 1GB Nvidia cuda-enabled video card. I've been trying extend the life of this machine that was great in its prime, but it's really not well suited to BI duty. Oddly, I had to set it to Intel hw...

    BI 4 Not Recognizing 2048 x 1536 Stream?

I'm running BI v4.8.4 (haven't found the need to upgrade yet) and came across an odd quirk. I have a camera that has 3MP output capability (2048 x 1536), as well as the standard HD resolutions. BI finds and handles the 1080p stream just fine. However, if I simply change the resolution to 2048 x...

Web Server - Option for Lower FPS?

Thanks, that should do the trick!

Web Server - Option for Lower FPS?

I've been having a lot of bandwidth issues with my ISP, to the point that I can only get about 150 kbps upload from my BI server. Until I get things sorted out with them, I can drop down to 360p or 480p, but the loss of resolution is an issue. What I'm looking to do is reduce the FPS to about 2...

    Intermittent Camera Drop Outs

Quick question - are your cameras directly opened up (port forwarded) to the internet? I noticed a dramatic improvement in the stability of my cameras after disabling the port forwarding to them, and just relying on the BI web server for viewing. I believe there are port scanners that look for...

Webserver Shows Live Cams Perfectly, but Trouble With Clips

It would depend on what the limiting factor is. The stream coming from the camera is likely h264 regardless of what the BI encoding is when it's not direct to disk. You could likely just tweak the wmv settings to get something that is a reasonable compromise, but all of the same considerations...

Webserver Shows Live Cams Perfectly, but Trouble With Clips

I've left mine as wmv and haven't had any issues since.

Low FPS When Console Is Up, But Still Low CPU Usage

I can dig into them and snag some snapshots, but they're fairly basic and, unfortunately, cheap Chinese cameras. The streams from them seem fairly solid when viewed on their own, though. Are you looking for camera settings (e.g., slow shutter), video coding settings (e.g., h.264 profile, fps)...

Low FPS When Console Is Up, But Still Low CPU Usage

I actually do have that set to be unrestricted. The low fps shows on the fps overlay and is obvious in any recordings as well, so it seems like more than just an interface display effect.

Low FPS When Console Is Up, But Still Low CPU Usage

When I've used UI3, it's been on a different machine. In terms of viewing, I believe the framerate drop has happened with both local viewing and via remote desktop, but I'll confirm since it could clearly have an impact. If it turns out to be an issue primarily with remote desktop, I'd still...

Low FPS When Console Is Up, But Still Low CPU Usage

The issue existed before Nvidia cuda hardware acceleration was even an option, as well as after having it enabled for all cameras, so I doubt it's related. I can give it a shot, though. I'm running Windows 7 home ultimate 64 bit.
