Have you ever thought about using different lenses in your IR lights? Lets say you get a light and you have a big hot spot at the distance you are trying to cover with it. Typically these lights have a 90 or 60 degree lense in them. Maybe swapping to a 120 degree lense would lessen the problem...

On cables I have had to run outside to nanobeams or whatever Ive been putting some heat shrink tubing over the cable before I crimp it. I figure that will last a few years at least.

I've tried running one at 2amps...it got really hot. I wouldn't trust it to not burn my house down. I bought a handful of them from Aliexpress and some of the more expensive ones from Amazon. The ones from Amazon were built better. They had a transformer in them and the others... Im not sure...

It was a pretty decent sized bird. There isn't much around other than my house and a wooded mountain behind it. I havnt ever saw them land on the roof of my house. I have saw them fly in and out of the trees behind my house. If another bird had a hold of this thing I would hate to see it around...

Would it be worth keeping a 100lb LP tank around as back up for the generator? You would have to change the orifice from NG to LP but LP wont ever go bad..

Were you able to get yours to work? I was able to get mine to work just using the Amcrest Network IP and Enable PTZ controls.
