Just set one up. A few notes:
Will not to SD and NVR recording at same time.
Can only be setup via app. Not web interface.
To setup in BI requires manual entry of parms. Few parms that can be set like Reolink though much better night vision than Reolink but with ghosting of moving objects as...
Later BI versions allow you to say what custom models a cam should use but it is unclear if they are still required in the local models folder. Better safe than sorry unless someone wants to take the time to sort if any version(s) no longer require them.
Personally I use Cygwin so I can run a shell script like this
##
## Usage: copyNew.sh &ALERT_PATH &MEMO
## where &ALERT_PATH is like DAH412.20210731_143912.4034343.3.jpg
## and &MEMO is like person:93%,dog:81
##
#set -x
PATH="/usr/bin"
export...
I learned the hard way you will get best results with a custom model trained on images from your cameras. Granted most of us do not have many to start with so it is a good idea to add an action to your alerts to save a copy (preferably without markup) to a folder or better yet folders named...
One of those was dead again this AM. More digging and it appears the service has been crashing on 4 of the servers for awhile. What I was seeing is when they fail to restart. My 5th server that has no service crashes in the event logs is diff in a few ways. It has never been above BI 5.5.4.5...
FYI the console losing connection to the service if you have the Windows Feature Update install appears to be sorted with 5.5.5.9. On the 2 of my 5 servers that had the Windows update I was seeing the issue with versions back to the last stable so I'd count this as a Windows issue.
I'm building wildlife, fire and bird ones. I am finding the the closer you can get to train with images like you get from your cams the better. See ConvertAndMerge · avatar42/deepstack Wiki for some details on the fun.
Did not get around to reinstalling last night but got the normal number of IDs on the downgraded to 5.4.8.2 server so I'll let it set. Going to add a couple of cams to the 5.4.9.6 server to see if I can dup the issue over there and hopefully sort what option / setting is causing the issue.
Last weekend I noticed I was not on the latest version (5.4.9.6). After updating I seem to be getting almost no objects IDed on one box but the other seems to still work fine. Cancelled alerts say DeepStack -1. Tried rebooting and such.
Updated to 5.4.9.7 soon after it became available.
Still...
Any chance of adding stats to the Blue Iris Performance Statistics page? As in kB/s (which is not always relative to MP/s), cams recording 24/7 vs triggered and some indication of motion detection load? All these can drastically affect CPU load.
Since I upgraded from BlueIrisUpdate64.4.0.8.0 to BlueIrisUpdate64.4.0.9.1 my CPU jumped from around 30% to 100%! Tried BlueIrisUpdate64.4.0.9.2 just now and same issue. All the cams were set to encode. Switching them all to direct to disk lowered CPU back down to 14% Unfortunately each cam must...
One thing missing from Blue Iris that your tools might be able to easily fix is to change setting for a set of cameras. Primarily for situations like Geovision DVR support where I need to tack a session ID onto the stream URL. The session ID seems to need to be changed often and it is VERY...
