    NVR with SMD or without

Why did you got for the NVR 5 series? Instead of example the 41xx series?

    NVR with SMD or without

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Thanks especially to Genelit for your kind offer. I might take you up on that later on. I think I am going to go with the NVR 5 series and try out a ip camera that I already have. It's a Hikvision 4MP 1/3" sensor. I'll see how the combination works taking...

    NVR with SMD or without

I am planning on getting the Dahua camera IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2. This has SMD 3.0 inbuilt. There also Dahua NVRs that have in built SMD in them. Is there any benefit of getting a NVR with SMD built in, if all other cameras connected to it have SMD built in? Will there be any synergies?

4mp camera with IR and LED?

@wittaj How is the IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2? Does the IVS and SMD work well? Does the IR attract a lot of bugs? Do the bugs cause issues with the IVS and SMD? Do you have it linked up to BI or to a NVS?

    Greetings from Bavaria, Germany

If I am not mistaken there is camera that has one lens and two sensors. A dark sensor and a light sensor. It then uses the best of both to make a single image. How is the 4K-X with alerts during the day and during the night? Does it miss motion? Does it give a lot of false alarms?

    Greetings from Bavaria, Germany

Does anyone know how the IPC-Color4K-X compares to the dual lens cameras such as the IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2? I've been doing reading in the forum and I am totally confused. Is it better to have one lens with dual sensor or dual lens and one sensor?

    Which camera?

I have another question. My main interest is a camera with powerful AI to detect "useful" motion. I plan to mount the camera in a place where there are lots of bugs/spiders and regular windy days with branches waving all over the place. How does the IVS work exactly? It seems the Dahuas have...

    Which camera?

I've been doing some research. I know it comes at an additional cost but wouldn't the easiest and probably safest way to get remote access is by using a NVR such as the DAHUA NVR4108-4KS2. What are your thoughts on that? Getting wiring to the NVR will be a slight hassle but not impossible.

    Which camera?

Hi everyone. I've been doing research to get a security cam for my summer residence and I bumped into this website. Lucky for me because it seems I would have ended up with the wrong equipment if I hadn't ended up reading here. Essentially I need a camera with the following requirements...
