I agree that a normal drive should work. I was highlighting that the HDD is a potential cause of symptoms which look very similar to a memory leak.
Yeah, not sure what the condition of the drive was in the Refurb PC but now my system has been running perfectly for 72 hours.
Solved my memory issue by upgrading factory Dell 7200RPM Hard Drive to WD Purple. The drive was maxing out at 100%, then the memory would fill, then the CPU. Swapping drives fixed this. Currently running Hardware acceleration with driver 126.96.36.19994.
2MP for 6 streams (Bitrate ~4000) and 5MP for the 2 Fisheye Streams (Bitrate ~8000). CPU is at 40% before it trends up. Before disabling hardware acceleration CPU was 25% and GPU like 30%. All cameras 15FPS in BI and Camera. Either way my system leaks until unusable.
I'm another user experiencing Blue Iris overloading the PC unexpectedly (100% CPU). I've installed a new video driver for the Intel 630 Graphics (188.8.131.5294), turned off hardware acceleration, set all recording as direct to disk, and limited frame rates to 15 FPS in both Blue Iris and Camera...
I think it's fine but with some limitations. I'm running 8 2MP cameras on an i3 NUC w/ Blue Iris. I did have to optimize the settings in Blue Iris and drop the frames to 15/second to get my CPU usage below 50%. It was pegged at 100% if I re-encoded the video before saving (doing direct to disk...
