ok. I see. You may want to disconnect the drives and all the cameras from the NVR.

Its been a few months but I don't think you use the Hitesh files until it's up and running in Chinese. Make sure you completely shut it down after running the TFTP software.

Were is a good place to start to find firmware that will work with the 7608N? I am able to find it for the NI but I'm afraid I'll mess it up.

that seems to be what is happening. I add the camera to the NVR at the screen above but it never connects. The NVR has the yellow triangle (Unknown Error) The Gui on the NVR states (Offline Parameter Error)

I'm sorry, I'll try to clarify. I've set the Gui web password on the NVR fine. I can access the cameras normally from the gui of the NVR I can access the cameras from the web via ip address with the longer required password. SADP allows for longer passwords. If I go to the NVR and "add IP...

I'm setting up an older DS-7608N-E2/8P. When I get to the password screen it only allows numbers. All new cameras require a letter and numbers. Is there a setting or firmware that will allow the letters and numbers? Thank you.

Ok. I just about gave up then rebooted my PC and now the camera shows up in SADP. I did the MTD hack and its working. BUt, The alarm is going off constantly. how do I disable that? I went into PIR and turned off whatever I could find. any ideas on this? thanks Tom

I worked on the DS-2CD2432F-IW. It is stuck in an reboot cycle. I have a constant ping going to it. Its got a pattern that look like it's restarting. any ideas? I'd like to get an actual link for 5.2.5 probably Chinese
