would there be any benefits to lowering the resolution on the camera to gain 5 or more FPS. Or am I know just splitting hairs.

If the maximum frame rate my can shoot at 8 MP's is 15 FPS does that mean that my NVR can also be set to record 15 FPS and no higher.
