Probably the Kare NVR I use doesn't supply PoE in a standard way and only Kare cameras could be compatible, this Dahua needs the splitter to receive power. If I don't use the splitter, Ethernet lights don't even light up on the NVR. It'll be next in line to be upgraded, after another wider angle...
