    Hikvision cams occasionally becoming unresponsive

Hi, Thanks for the help. My cams were installed by a (presumably licensed) Hikvision installer, but I did my research at the time and made sure he was not sourcing Chinese Ebay models (can confirm there is no CCCH in serial). I had a lot of trouble trying to find firmware from the Hikvision...

    Hikvision cams occasionally becoming unresponsive

Thanks, I wonder if that's the issue. The cam (a model DS-2CD2132F-I) which went down recently has firmware of V5.2.0 build 140721 I did not power cycle it this time, it just came back on its own (or BlueIris was able to reboot it, but this seems unlikely since in order to reboot it, it would...

    Hikvision cams occasionally becoming unresponsive

My setup is this... - 6 HikVision cams, bought and installed from a licensers reseller. EU firmware - All cams are wired to a Hikvision NVR, which records 24/7 - Each cam has its own IP on my LAN so I can access them individually without going via my NVR (I do not use the NVR's NAT feature) -...

Where to re-enable auto IR (smart IR?)

Thankyou, I was able to set it back to auto from BlueIris iOS app. I think I had re-enabled PTZ controls from Blueiris Windows to stop it being greyed out on iOS

Where to re-enable auto IR (smart IR?)

Could you tell me where the IR button is? I see a bulb icon at the bottom of BI, but its disabled entirely. I also cant find any mention of 'mode' in the camera settings (there's just so many tabs and controls though, so I'm probably missing it) Thanks!

Where to re-enable auto IR (smart IR?)

I have a whole bunch of Hikvision cams, which are hooked up to a Hikvision NVR. I also have all the cams feeding into BlueIris for motion detection and alerts. One of these cams is stuck permanently in IR mode (black and white during day) I cant figure out what I've done to cause this, and...

I just spent ages trying to find this too. You need to go into Group Management, the in the right list, select the camera and click the Modify button

    Setting up Blueiris Timelapse

I have a cam in a hydroponics grow tent, and want BlueIris to build a timelapse video of my pepper plants growing To do this I have set BI to record 'Continuous', with a "Alt/Timelapse framerate' of 1800000000 [30.00 min]" Ive then set 'Combine or cut video each' '24 hours' I was hoping this...

    Blue Iris Snapshot URLs

Have you thought about just using the blue iris Web interface? Alternatively have Blue Iris push JPGs to a web server, and write a very simple webpage which embeds those JPGs and refreshes periodically

Migrating HV cams from NVR subnet to LAN subnet

Great tip, thanks. I;d hate to have to go through all that again :nightmare: Cool! I may well be interested in selling it on at some point. I invested quite heavily in the HikVision NVR (8TB WD storage mostly to future-proof it, rather than it being immediately necessary), so I need to be...

Migrating HV cams from NVR subnet to LAN subnet

Yes, all cams are now showing as 'Online' despite being on the same subnet as the NVR itself. Not that I've noticed. Everything seems to be working as it was before. Here is a screenshot of my NVR config right now... As you can see, each cam is on my 192.168.1.0/24 LAN subnet, and the...

Migrating HV cams from NVR subnet to LAN subnet

Turns out its me who needs a kick  I was starting to think I was attempting the impossible, but really I should have gone back and checked the basic steps.. My house was only recently cabled with cat5, and so instead of connecting my new PoE into the router, it seems I just picked up one...

Migrating HV cams from NVR subnet to LAN subnet

I have a Hikvision NVR (DS-7608NI-E2/8P/A) with 6 HV cams. I've been a little unhappy with the NVR for some time, so have finally got round to buying an 8-port PoE switch, which will allow me to explore other options like BlueIris. Right now though, I'm trying to just configure one of the cams...

    Hikvision 5.2.5 firmware compatible NVR?

Oops, you're right. I have the E2 model True, I wasn't apportioning blame to Hikvision, just stating the reality of the situation Thats a shame, it would be really useful and address a lot of my criticisms if it automatically took you to the relevant point in time in the recording. Initially...

    Hikvision 5.2.5 firmware compatible NVR?

What features are you looking for in the NVR? I have the DS-7608NI-I2/8P, fitted out with 8Tb storage. Initially I was very happy with it, but as I've dug deeper, Im finding its quite inflexible, and some features are somewhat stupid in the way they operate. Main complaints... - Very poor Mac...
