Good point and I will check out the camera. In this case it is really just homeowner that wants to be able to read license plate of cars going on his driveway. It is not business and nothing mission critical. We just need to add complimentary camera to existing camera for license plates.
I will...
So basically I would set it up to detect motion and they would pull out the video and check the license plate. Which is perfectly fine.
I am contractor so I have fairly good sense of distance. :-) But I get your point. I am still claiming 30" max. That said I would rather get Z12E and be...
Hi guys,
I am new to LPR. I have a customer that has Dahua N52B2P4 Pro-Series 4K 8-Channel and he wants to capture license plates on incoming cars.
He has already Dahua camera for general overview and I am looking for solution to get license plates recorded with additional camera optimized...
I think that makes sense. Recognition is not perfect yet to reliably distinguish between different animals but if we can get it to the point where we can reliably separate animals, people and cars, that would make most users satisfied IMO. I think that is what most people probably look for...
@sebastiantombs Got it! Well, I have created another camera copy that will use animal model only and I will use is for actions that need to be taken with animal intruders. LOL
This way I can customize it the way I want and sent trigger to home automation system when "hopefully" animal is...
Quick question about DeepStack. I've been testing animal and combined models specifically to see if I can get some decent animal detection.
So far it's been useful most of the time when comes to deciding between animal and human. That said I've been identified as animal a few time.
I don't...
Oh.. I misunderstood..
I kept highest settings for main stream because I like to mess with videos when I catch something nice..
Maybe it's not best for general surveillance. The screen shot is below the video links.
That's from old house:
Bears
Mountain Lion
Messing with a deer - cameras...
@sebastiantombs , I haven't really messed with settings yet but it looks like I will have to find some compromise for both day and night. I have 3 Dauha cameras coming in soon to include in the mix.
2x GW Security - GW8555MIP
and
1x Camius BoltV
I bought them way back and I knew nothing back then about cameras.
User interface looks pretty much same for both so I am not sure if it is same manufacturer or just software that is used on both. I don't see profile option on any of them.
I guess I am out of luck without profiles on the camera. If I adjust things to the extreme at night it will look like s**t during the day. I will try to play with settings a little bit.
Is there anything special I need to do to improve AI detection at night? I have pretty bad luck with my setup when it comes to night detection.
Bellow is screenshot to illustrates the situation that resulted in cancellation because nothing was found. In another instance I was recognized as a...
I will do some testing for general 2.0 as well! I will still have to use animal model too as I really need to "keep an eye" on deer! That said so far I did not have much luck with deer. Most of them were recognized as sheep, dog or cow.. LOL But I am sure it's part of my learning journey.
@sebastiantombs
I use dumb lights with smart switches and turn on lights around the house when we get home after sunset or when we hang out on the deck when it's dark. I use cameras as a trigger to tell home automation to get the lights going. Using deepstack help with false triggers but it take...
Does it make sense to run both combined and dark models if I have lights turn ON with motion at night?
Just curious how will dark model work when lights will turn on and camera will switch from IR mode to regular mode with enough ambient light from the lights.
