Okay....so if the LUX rating is the same for a non-full time color cam, then this would seem to indicate that both types of cameras would provide the same image (brightness or whatever) except that one would be in color and the other would be B&W. Would that be accurate? Can the LEDs can be...

So with these color cameras, do the LEDs automatically come on when it gets dark...and stay on? Or are they maybe triggered to come on based on motion? Sorry for newb questions...never dealt with these type of cameras but might actually have a need for some very shortly.

@EMPIRETECANDY File on first page does not seem to work on my IPC-HDBW2831R-ZS Upgrade attempts indicate that the package is invalid. What file should I be using?

From what I can tell, there doesn't appear to be, but need to be sure before ordering? Not looking for vari-focus on this cam position since even if I did go with vari-focal, I would have the lens opened up to max anyway.

Yeah, I had actually run across that exact firmware earlier when trying to get this to work. That one also comes up as incorrect. Same thing on two different 2831's that I have.

Going through and updating firmware....and once again, having trouble finding a firmware that doesn't complain about being the wrong version. The above stated links appear to no longer be functional. @EMPIRETECANDY Do you have a firmware link for the latest for a 2831R-ZS ?

Andy, I don't see the IPC-HDW5831R-ZE listed in the ipcamtalk store. Is this model still available for sale?

That's good to hear. Problem though is that I can't get past the "Error connecting to wunderground" message.

@Mike Out of curiosity - Are you moving to another weather station service with a new API...or just fixing whatever is broken with the wunderground API?

For me, it took manually starting a Repair/Regenerate session. It took a while but I'm now seeing all of the days of recordings listed in the panel.

Restarted BI. No changes. Still only see the recordings from the new install. Next, I shut down BI and then deleted the entire contents of the /db folder. Restarted BI and it's back to looking like a brand new install. No recordings at all.
