no video with BI and Logitech C-920: error 80004005 - Fixed

as per title, I think I got the culprit: the audio channel simply change it as per screen-shot and you'll have the Marvels of 1920x1080 30 fps I hope it works for other

    Does BI show correct frame-rates?

I checked just now Camera properties > Video = > Image format > Frame rate; 30fps (as showed by the Foscam client) Camera properties > General = 10fps Status > Cameras = 10fps so, I'm strongly suspect no one of the 4 (i.e. included the Foscam client) shows real frame-rates, and I wasn't able so...

    Does BI show correct frame-rates?

I say that because I see different values in different places for example, just now under Camera properties > General I see BI is recoding at 10fps I export one bvr movie, that is supposed to be 10fps, as an AVI no re-encoding by logic this movie must be 10fps but ... when I play it I read...

urgh! I just noticed my posts are off-topic I'm speaking of another kind of artifact so feel free move them elsewhere or delete them ;-)

Ghost Caught On Video - BI & 2012

yes, I see, but note that during the day even this cheap Foscam gives me 30fps it's during the night that it falls to max 10fps and even if I still have 10fps, shooting times are so looong that flying animals seem ghosts (like star trails) so the bottle-neck cannot be the switch, cable, etc that...

Ghost Caught On Video - BI & 2012

I acquired it well understanding it's a rubbish, to do some basic test and deepen the matter a bit anyway, I'm quite sure the right cam to film properly an owl flight in the night will cost me a fortune, if it really exists :D

Ghost Caught On Video - BI & 2012

mmm, I have a new gigabit switch (TP-LINK TL-SG108 SWITCH 8 PORTS 10/100/1000MBPS), and the cable is a Vandesail® CAT7 Ethernet 10m I think it's more my cheap cam that is a bottleneck: it is a lot cheaper than an Axis :D

Ghost Caught On Video - BI & 2012

OK, anyway, I read many docs that say with cheap/cheapest cams you can barely reach 10fps during the night, and it's a hardware limit, not a software limit, so having a very cheap cam I'm already happy to reach this target :D

    More Cameras? Specs/Settings help please

another way to reduce CPU load is to minimize the BI window, and/or starting BI as a service, and/or selecting the option Camera properties > Schedule > Camera is only active when triggered, and/or deselecting the option Camera properties > Schedule > Continue to display and stream video while...

Ghost Caught On Video - BI & 2012

this sounds odd to me, as I tested all possible settings, but I can reach my Foscam FI9903P max night-time frame-rate only setting the in-camera values to its max values, namely stream type 0, 1080p, 4Mb, 30fps, key-frame 30, variable rate this way, BI sees a 10fps and 140-150kb/s movie if I...

Blue Iris on wine (Ubuntu Mint) works

I'm checking the video just now (21:59 GMT) and I can add that: the frame-rate is about 10fps the CPU consumption is about 50% (for BI only) and moths seems ghosts, as usual :D unluckily, my cam is too cheap to render their fast flight decently, but I hope possible owls (my targets) will be...

Blue Iris on wine (Ubuntu Mint) works

it works with FI9903P that is a h264 cam, but I have to say that under Wine, Blue Iris is less responsive moreover, the max daylight framerate is only about 20fps, while under Windows 7 it was 30fps

Blue Iris on wine (Ubuntu Mint) works

Hi there I hope this is the right place to post it, otherwise feel free moving it elsewhere anyway, after having googled a lot, I was persuaded there was no way to have BI working under Ubuntu but I tried it and ... it works! I found 2 issues anyway that can crash it don't let it update under...
