Snapshot URL without credentials box appearing

Try different web browsers. For my Dahua hdbw4231f-e2-m the command below works in Firefox and Chrome but in IE it keeps prompting for credentials. http://user:password@192.168.0.10/cgi-bin/magicBox.cgi?action=reboot

blue iris suddenly a memory hog and at 100% cpu usage

I had a couple of cameras suddenly jump in frame rate the other day, too. I think it was also 41fps and 39fps. Just on two of the 40 something cameras we have over here. I didn't take note of which cameras, I just set them back to 10fps and didn't think twice about it. It hasn't happened again.

Camera will not hold resolution settings?

I don't think this applies to your situation but maybe it does or maybe will help someone else out. I know that some NVR software (ExacqVision in particular) will overwrite settings that were applied directly on the camera's web interface. In some cases I've had to remove the camera from...

Hello from northern California - 42 cameras running Blue Iris

Yeah, the ACTis we have suck. They were here when I started. I really like the HikVisions we recently bought. Better quality at a lower cost. When I eventually setup a cam system for home I will avoid ACTi like the plague.

Hello from northern California - 42 cameras running Blue Iris

Greetings. I've been using the forum for about 6 months. I bought Blue Iris at that time and we have everything working pretty well now. Thank you to the forum and members, this place is a valuable resource and Blue Iris is a very good product at a great price. I'm the IT person at a food...

    POE switch recommendations...

That is a great price. I'm considering buying two of the 8 port ones. I notice they are fan-less switches. Do you by chance know if that means they are more likely to overheat in warm conditions? I'm poking around the forum and the internets but thought I would ask as well.

A couple questions with deactivating BI on old machine and activating on new machine

I got the firmware updated in those ACM 3511 cameras. The OSD settings were not applying until I added each camera's IP address in the compatibility view list in Internet Explorer. It wasn't working in Chrome either. I doubt anyone uses these old ACTi cameras but just in case - remember to try...

A couple questions with deactivating BI on old machine and activating on new machine

Quick update. The old ACTi cameras that I mentioned (ACM 3511) have a firmware update that adds the OSD option. I thought I already upgraded firmware on all the cameras but I must have missed a couple. I will probably not attempt having Blue Iris supply the timestamp or adding it on export...

Thank you for the tips. I will post back after I try any of those things and let the forum know how it goes.

A couple questions with deactivating BI on old machine and activating on new machine

Thank you! I was trying to figure out why the Blue Iris date/time text overlay is not included in recordings. Unfortunately I have several old ACTi ACM 3511 cameras which do not have a date/time OSD option.

    POE switch recommendations...

I recently bought two of these Netis unmanaged switches on Amazon. It's the cheapest I could find, $89.99. I have one up and running, no complaints so far. Netis 10-Port Ethernet Switch with 8 PoE Ports, 802.3at/af Compliant, Up to 124W Power Supply (PE6110)

High CPU Useage on 22 Camera build system

Looks like you are okay now. I just want to add that changing all of my HikVision cameras resolution from 2688x1520 down to 1920x1080 really made a difference in reducing my CPU usage. That's in addition to all the FPS, direct-to-disc and all the other tips recommended in this thread.
